Srinagar, Nov 11: The Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers cum Dealers Union and the New Kashmir Fruits Association, Srinagar, have strongly condemned the devastating car blast at Delhi’s historic Red Fort that claimed several innocent lives and left many others injured.
In a statement issued here, the Union described the attack as an inhumane and highly deplorable act that has shocked the nation. It said the horrific explosion not only caused tragic loss of lives but also spread fear and panic among people, terming such acts of violence as cowardly attempts to disturb peace and harmony in the country.
Chairman of the Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers cum Dealers Union, Bashir Ahmad Basheer, who also serves as President of the New Kashmir Fruits Association, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident. He extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of all fruit growers and associations across the valley to the bereaved families and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured.
“Acts of terror and violence have no place in a civilized society,” the statement read, urging the authorities to ensure that those responsible for this heinous act are brought to justice at the earliest.
Basheer reaffirmed the Union’s solidarity with the victims’ families and emphasized the need for unity and vigilance to defeat the forces attempting to destabilize peace and national harmony.
