Bhadohi, Oct 6 : Ferozson Exports Pvt. Ltd., led by Shri Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, Director, Ferozson Exports Pvt. Ltd.( Alkhuddam Group )has been honoured with the “Navshristi 2026 – Excellence Award for Innovative Design Pattern” for its hand-knotted carpet at the 50th India Carpet Expo – Golden Jubilee Edition in Bhadohi.
The award followed an evaluation by a distinguished jury comprising experts and academicians from leading institutions, including IIT Delhi, National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), and IICT. Entries were assessed for creativity, innovation, design excellence and craftsmanship.
Companies representing different carpet-producing regions of India were also honoured across various categories under Navshristi 2026, celebrating the diversity and excellence of India’s handmade carpet industry.
The award was presented in the presence of Shri Mukesh Kumar Gombar, Chairman, CEPC, and Prof. Dr. R. K. Varshney, Director, IICT.
Expressing gratitude, Shri Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, Director, Ferozson Exports Pvt. Ltd. & Alkhuddam Group, said the recognition is a proud moment and an encouragement to continue blending traditional Kashmiri craftsmanship with contemporary design and innovation, while promoting Indian handmade carpets globally.
