Srinagar, Nov 11: The Awami Ittihadi Party (AIP) has expressed strong condemnation over the heinous attack that took place at the Red Fort in New Delhi on November 10, terming it a shameful assault on one of India’s most revered symbols of sovereignty, heritage, and unity.
In a statement, AIP State Secretary Sheikh Ashiq conveyed deep sorrow and solidarity with the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic incident. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured and lauded the security forces for their swift and courageous response in containing the situation.
Ashiq said the Red Fort embodies the indomitable spirit and resilience of the nation, and any attempt to desecrate its sanctity or disturb public peace is an affront to the collective conscience of the Indian people. He urged the authorities to conduct a transparent and time-bound investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Reaffirming the party’s support for the country’s law enforcement and security institutions, the AIP called for collective vigilance to safeguard India’s democratic and cultural heritage.
The party also appealed to citizens to remain calm and united, reject violence in all forms, and uphold the principles of peace, harmony, and mutual respect that form the foundation of the nation.
