Lucknow, February 18: A major goof-up came to light in the recently conducted Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment exam when an admit card was issued bearing Bollywood actor Sunny Leone’s photograph instead of the candidate.
The admit card belonging to a candidate from Mahoba, UP appeared with Leone’s photo and Kannauj’s Tirwa town as the allotted exam center. However, the candidate did not appear for the exam on February 17 using this admit card.
Police officials have termed the admit card as fake and clarified that Leone’s photo was used by the candidate during online registration. The mischievous act has been strongly condemned.
Cyber cell teams are probing the matter and directives have been issued to the candidate to appear before the center with their actual documents and photo ID proofs like Aadhaar card.
The UP Police Constable exam on February 17-18 is being held across the state for over 9,000 posts. Police teams have busted several impersonation rackets with over 100 arrests made in the last two days.
The viral Sunny Leone admit card incident has raised concerns over the vulnerability of the online application system. Police authorities maintain that such instances will be dealt with strictly. (agencies)
