Srinagar, Mar 24: As the much-awaited Tulip Festival is set to open on March 26, 2025, the Traffic Police of Jammu and Kashmir have announced a detailed traffic advisory to manage the anticipated influx of visitors to Asia’s largest Tulip Garden.

This popular event is expected to draw a large number of tourists and locals alike, especially in the wake of Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.

In a bid to ensure smooth traffic flow and avoid congestion, authorities have implemented a one-way traffic system on holidays.
Traffic Route Plan
To Reach Tulip Garden: Visitors are encouraged to use the Lal Chowk-Dalgate-Boulevard/Gupkar Road route.
Returning from Tulip Garden: The recommended return route is Nishat-Foreshore-Habak-Dargah-Khanyar.

Alternative Routes for Local Motorists
From Harwan-Shalimar-Nishat: Motorists heading to Lal Chowk should take the Foreshore-Hazratbal route, avoiding the Nishat-Boulevard road.

From Gulab Bagh-Zakoora-Naseembagh: Travelers are advised to use the 90 Feet Road and Ali Jan route to reach Lal Chowk instead of the Foreshore Road.

Parking Regulations
To facilitate orderly traffic, visitors must park only in designated areas. The available parking options include:

In front of the Botanical Garden
Open land at Karpora
LCMA Parking at Nishat
Vehicles parked incorrectly will be fined and may be towed.

Emergency Vehicles
Emergency services will have the right to use the shortest routes during the festival. The one-way traffic system will be enforced from 0900 hrs to 1900 hrs daily.
