Says this is first election after decades, when terrorism, separatism, stone pelting, cross-border firing are not poll issues
Srinagar, April 12 (KNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday assured that time is not far when assembly elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir and statehood will also be restored.
Addressing a mega poll rally in support of the BJP candidate Dr Jitendra Singh in Udhampur, PM Modi as per KNS said that time is not far when assembly elections will be held here and statehood to J&K will also be restored.
He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir will soon have their ministers and legislators through whom they will fulfil their desires and dreams and walk on a new path of development.
PM Modi also said that the development Jammu and Kashmir witnessed in the last 10 years is just a trailer, real development will take place in coming years and J&K will touch new heights of development.
“J&K will soon be known not only for startup companies but for tourism industry as well. This election is not just to elect MPs, but this election is to form a strong government in the country. And when the government is strong, it shows its performance by challenging the challenges on the ground even amidst challenges,” he said.
He also said that this is the first election after decades, when terrorism, separatism, stone pelting, bandhs, strikes, cross-border firing are not election issues.
“Then whether it was the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra or the Amarnath Yatra, the concern was about how to conduct these in a safe manner. Today the situation has completely changed. Today, development is taking place in Jammu and Kashmir and confidence is also increasing,” PM Modi asserted.
He said that is why today, from every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir, only one echo is being heard – Modi Government once again. (KNS)
