Srinagar, Oct 15: The Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) convened its General Members’ Interactive Meet on Wednesday, attracting enthusiastic participation from members across the travel trade fraternity.

The meeting aimed to foster unity within the association and chart a collaborative path for the growth and revival of Kashmir’s tourism sector.

Members deliberated on a range of issues, including enhancing tourist-friendly and hassle-free services, strengthening marketing efforts in domestic and international markets, participating in travel trade fairs under the association’s banner, and leveraging social media platforms to boost visibility of Kashmir’s tourism offerings.

Each participant had the opportunity to share insights on the current tourism scenario, evaluate existing marketing strategies, and propose measures to streamline trade operations. Members appreciated the open and interactive format, which facilitated the exchange of ideas, experiences, and practical solutions for the collective benefit of the industry.

TAAK President Mr. Farooq Kuthoo delivered the keynote address, underscoring the importance of professionalism, innovation, and eco-friendly practices in sustaining Jammu & Kashmir’s tourism ecosystem. Past presidents of the association also contributed valuable perspectives during the discussions.

The session was moderated by Secretary General Mr. Sajad Ahmad Kralyari, who outlined plans for a series of FAM trips and potential collaborations with various service providers.

Past President Mr. Ashfaq Siddiq Dug, in his vote of thanks, commended members for their active engagement and reaffirmed TAAK’s commitment to serve as a united platform for promoting tourism in Kashmir.
