Srinagar, Nov 25: Srinagar Police, in coordination with medical officers from the Health Department, on Monday carried out inspections of lockers used by doctors and staff across district hospitals, private hospitals, medical colleges and primary health centres in the city as part of an ongoing security and accountability drive.
Officials said the checks were conducted to prevent any misuse of lockers for unauthorized storage of illegal or hazardous material and to reinforce internal security protocols within medical institutions. During the exercise, all racks and lockers were thoroughly examined, and staff were advised to maintain proper records and ensure these storage spaces are used strictly for official purposes.
Authorities said the inspections will continue as part of routine vigilance aimed at maintaining a safe and secure environment in health facilities.
Srinagar Police said it remains committed to ensuring the safety of citizens and strengthening overall security across the city.
