India batter Sarfaraz Khan lit up the 2025–26 Vijay Hazare Trophy with a blistering knock, smashing the fastest-ever List A half-century by an Indian during Mumbai’s round-seven clash against Punjab on Wednesday.
Sarfaraz reached his fifty in just 15 balls, surpassing the previous Indian record jointly held by Maharashtra’s Abhijit Kale, who had taken 16 deliveries to reach the milestone. The innings underlined Sarfaraz’s explosive form in domestic cricket and showcased his ability to dismantle attacks at will.
