Starting his tour in Khanyar, Salman Sagar first visited the residence of Imam sahib Dastgeer Sahab, Peer Nazir Ahmed. The Imam’s house had been destroyed in a midnight fire the previous day. Sagar expressed his sympathies to the family and committed to raising the matter with government authorities to ensure that necessary actions are taken for their support and recovery.
From there, he proceeded to inspect various neighborhoods in the Khanyar assembly segment, including Harwan, Nishat, Lashkari Mohalla, Zeethyar Old Nishat, Vakeel Colony Brane, Dalgate, Nawpora, and Munawarbad. His aim was to gauge the effectiveness of the snow clearance operations and address any immediate concerns of the residents.
In Hazratbal, Salman Sagar visited several rural locales such as Khimber, Saidpora Bala, Chatterhama, Danihama, and Wanihama. His tour was not just about ensuring roads were cleared but also about listening to the grievances and needs of the local populace, ensuring their voices are heard during this challenging time.
Sagar was accompanied by Block Coordinators Mohammed Irfan Zahgeer for Hazratbal and Abid Majeed Wani for Khanyar, along with officials from the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Roads and Buildings (R&B), and the Mechanical and Electrical Wing (MEW). This team effort underscored the seriousness with which the local administration is addressing the snow clearance and related issues.
