Srinagar, Dec 29: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) expresses satisfaction for the efforts of Administration in restoring essential services across in the Kashmir Valley in the wake of recent adverse weather conditions.

KCCI President Javid Tenga in a statement said the chamber appreciates that with the personal and on- ground supervision of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the MLAs and officials including the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir and various Deputy Commissioners, the field staff of PDD and police enabled the government to restore power supply and clear stranded vehicles and traffic roads speedily .”
 The Chamber believes that this quick response is pivotal in maintaining public confidence, economic and social fabric of the region, especially in tourist destinations vital for local economy.

“In the wake of snowfall across the region and initial challenges, the restoration of power supply was expedited, and roads, including those leading to key tourist spots, have been cleared . The KCCI commends the Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah for personally overseeing the situation during this crisis.”

The Chamber acknowledges the government’s efforts in managing the situation, ensuring that essential services were back in operation as quickly as could possibly be done. Looking at the condition prevailing yesterday morning it looked like a long drawn struggle for admistration to overcome it.
The KCCI is hopeful that the responsiveness and commitment from the government will continue, fostering an environment conducive to growth and development.
KCCI reiterates that snowfall in winter’s is not a rarity and we urge the administration to be fully prepared to tackle the situation..
