Srinagar, Apr 26- In a significant development for the Jammu and Kashmir United Movement (JKUM), several influential figures from the Tullamulla area have joined the party. JKUM President Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar warmly welcomed Imtiyaz Ahmad Wagay, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Iqbal Ahmad Wagay and others into the party fold.
“We are delighted to have these respected leaders and activists join our caravan of change,” Jabbar said while announcing the new members. “Their joining reflects the growing appeal of JKUM’s vision for the future of Jammu and Kashmir among the people.”
The new entrants pledged to work tirelessly with the party to raise the voice of the people and strive for the J&K’s progress and development. Wagay, one of the prominent joiners, said they decided to be part of JKUM as it represented the hopes and aspirations of the masses.
“JKUM under Jabbar’s leadership has emerged as a powerful voice for the common people. We want to be part of this movement to ensure that the interests and welfare of every section of society is protected,” stated new entrants.
Political observers view these joinings as a shot in the arm for JKUM, which has been gaining ground across the region. With Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir expected later this year, the new members’ induction could potentially expand JKUM’s support base.
The new entrants were welcomed by party leaders and cadres amidst sloganeering hailing the “caravan of change” and calling for a “new voice” and “new vision” for Jammu and Kashmir.
