Land to landless a historic step, takes stock of public issues at Gujjar Basti Babadaryadin

Srinagar 29 Oct : The recent meetings between National Conference (NC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has been seen as a positive and welcome step. The meeting provided an opportunity for the leaders to discuss the prevailing issues in the region and find ways to collaborate for the betterment of the people.

Ishfaq Jabbar a prominent leader and president of the Jammu and Kashmir United Movement (JKUM) expressed his appreciation for the meeting. He stated that such interactions between the LG and political leaders are crucial in fostering dialogue and understanding leading to effective governance.

Ishfaq Jabbar, the president of the JKUM said these words during his visit to the Gujjarapti Babadaryadin.

During the visit he interacted with the local residents and listened attentively to their grievances. The president assured them that their concerns would be addressed and resolved at the earliest emphasizing the party’s commitment to the welfare of the people.

Furthermore as part of the government’s initiatives to uplift marginalized sections of society it has been announced that 5 malras (a unit of land measurement) of land will be allotted to poor individuals. This move is aimed at empowering and supporting those in need promoting inclusive growth and reducing socio-economic disparities.

Jabbar said that the only people of Jammu Kashmir UT will get 5 malras of land on the basis of old census.

 LG administration of the Union Territory has taken a historic step of allotting land to the landless people, who can construct own house and find a shelter to live,” Jabbar added.

Jabbar was accompanied by party Senior leaders which include Sheikh Gh Ahmad Saloora, Haji Faiz Ahmad Bhat, Mohd Yousuf and others.
