Srinagar, Dec 11 (KINS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Thursday issued a detailed forecast for December 11–25, predicting mostly cloudy conditions across Jammu & Kashmir, with light snowfall expected over higher reaches and fog continuing in several areas.
As per the MeT, December 11–12 will see partly cloudy skies across the region. Between December 13–17, the weather is likely to remain partly to generally cloudy, with chances of very light snowfall over some higher reaches of North and Central Kashmir, mainly during late night or early morning.
For December 18–19, partly cloudy conditions are expected to continue. On December 20–21, generally cloudy skies are forecast towards evening, with the possibility of light rain or snow at scattered places in Kashmir and isolated areas in the Jammu division.
From December 22–25, the weather is expected to stay partly cloudy.
The MeT has also issued an advisory noting that shallow to moderate fog will persist in many areas of Kashmir and at isolated locations in Jammu, potentially affecting visibility and road travel. (KINS)
