Srinagar, Jan 25: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) expresses heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah and Jammu and Kashmir Govt for responding positively to its request for an extension of the deadlines for the Unified Building Byelaws (UBBL).
KCCI is particularly thankful for the Chief Minister’s attention to the concerns regarding the excessively short submission period, which we formally raised.
KCCI is pleased to acknowledge that the Housing and Urban Development Department has officially issued a notice extending the deadline for submitting suggestions regarding the proposed amendments to the J&K Unified Building Byelaws (UBBL) 2021 from 18 th of January to 17 th of February 2025. This extension will allow for greater public participation and meaningful engagement from stakeholders.
The KCCI expresses appreciation of continued support and commitment to addressing the concerns of the business community and the public. KCCI is optimistic that this additional time will facilitate a thorough review of the proposed amendments, ensuring that they reflect the needs and interests of all stakeholders involved.
KCCI encourages the public to participate actively in the process of submitting suggestions/comments to The Housing and Urban Development Department who have invited suggestions and comments on the proposed amendments, which can be submitted until February 17, 2025. The relevant documents are available at H&UDD Website.
