KCCI elections on February 21

Srinagar, Feb 17: Elections for the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will take place on February 21 after a hiatus of more than two years.
“In view of the directions of the [J&K] High Court and the meeting held by Election Committee with Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar on 16th of February, 2023, notice is hereby given that election of [the] Executive Committee of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Inc.) will be held on 21st of February, 2023 (Tuesday) from 10.00 a.m upto 3.00 pm. The venue of the polling will be Kashmir Government Arts Emporium, Emporium Building, Residency Road, Srinagar,” reads a notification.
The counting of votes shall commence immediately after the conclusion of polls at 4.00 pm and the election results shall be declared on the same day.”
The notification further reads, “Further, Annual General Meeting shall be convened on 22nd of February, 2023 (Wednesday) at 11.00 am at KCCI office, Residency Road, Srinagar to announce the result of the election of the members of the Executive Committee and to elect the names of the office bearers by the elected members of the new executive committee and the president will read his address.”
