Srinagar, Mar 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released revised date sheets for the Annual Regular Examinations 2023-24 for Classes 10, 11, and 12 in Hard Zone areas. The decision comes amid changes in the scheduled timings, with exams now being conducted in two shifts.
According to the revised schedule, the Class 10 Annual Regular (Hard Zone) examination will commence on April 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM (Morning Shift). Meanwhile, the Class 12 (Hard Zone) examination will begin on April 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM (Evening Shift). Additionally, the Class 11 examination for Soft Zone areas has been rescheduled to April 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM, while the Hard Zone areas will commence their Class 11 examination on April 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
The revised schedule has been notified vide Notification no. F (Acad-C)/Rev/DT/AR/XI-SZ/X-XI-XII-HZ/2024 dated March 28, 2024, and is available on the official website of JKBOSE (www.jkbose.nic.in).
The change in the examination schedule was necessitated due to a communique from the Joint Chief Electoral Officer, UT of Jammu and Kashmir, regarding the schedule for the Lok Sabha Election 2024. Additionally, a communication from the National Testing Agency concerning the conduct of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2024 session from April 4 to April 15, 2024, and numerous representations from students requesting the rescheduling of JKBOSE exams, also played a role in the decision.
The notification clearly states that the previously issued date sheets for the examinations of the said classes/zones should be treated as canceled.
All stakeholders, including Principals, Overall Incharges, Superintendents, exam staff, students, and parents, have been advised to carefully adhere to the revised schedule. Teachers are urged to appropriately inform their students about the revised dates and timings to avoid any confusion, ensuring that examinees reach the examination centers on the correct day and time. The Overall Incharges shall ensure that the right question paper is opened at the right center and on the right day/time.
The Sub/Branch officers of JKBOSE will be specially responsible for disseminating the revised examination schedule for Hard Zone areas.
