Srinagar, Feb 7: The Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA) has expressed serious concerns regarding the ongoing issues with the J&K Bank Mpay mobile banking services, highlighting the significant inconvenience faced by customers due to frequent outages.
KTA President Aijaz Shadhar stated that these disruptions not only hinder daily transactions but also lead to embarrassing situations for customers in various essential settings.
“On a daily basis, the J&K Mpay mobile app suffers outages, causing immense frustration for users,” said Shadhar. “Customers often find themselves in awkward situations at medical shops while purchasing medicines, at restaurants, grocery stores, and even at airports, unable to complete their transactions.”
Despite repeated promises from J&K Bank to upgrade their services, including the transition from Mpay to Mpay Delight, the quality of service has not improved. “The bank has made numerous claims about enhancements, yet the reality remains that the services are still subpar,” Shadhar added.
The impact on the business community is profound, with many customers opting not to make purchases when they encounter payment issues. “The losses incurred by businesses are mounting, as customers frequently refuse to buy products and services when they cannot make online payments,” he stated.
Shadhar raised a critical question: “Why isn’t J&K Bank upgrading its services while other banks in Kashmir are providing hassle-free mobile banking solutions?” He urged the bank management to take immediate action to rectify these issues and restore confidence among its customers.
The Kashmir Trade Alliance calls on J&K Bank to prioritize the enhancement of its Mpay services to ensure uninterrupted and reliable banking for all users.
