Srinagar, June 5: The students from Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) emerged as champions in both the Under-14 and Under-17 categories at the zonal district level chess competition.
Their outstanding performance not only brought glory to their school but also established Zone Gulabagh as the overall champion in both categories.
The champions of the inter-zone competition are Ayesha Sajad Shalla of class 6th, Maiera of class 7 and Taiuba Altaf of class 9th
“These young chess prodigies demonstrated exceptional skill and strategic acumen, showcasing the high caliber of talent nurtured at Green Valley Educational Institute,” the school handout reads.
It reads that their achievements have brought immense pride to both the school and the entire Zone Gulabagh.
“The success of Ayesha Sajad Shalla, Maiera, and Taiuba Altaf highlights the commitment and dedication of the students and their mentors,” it reads.
Chairman GVEI Mohammad Yousuf Wani said that the victory of the students was a testament to the comprehensive training and support provided by the school to ensure that students not only Excel academically but also in extracurricular activities.
“Our school extends heartfelt congratulations to the champions and their families. The school remains committed to fostering such talents and looks forward to more such victories in the future,” Chairman GVEI said.
