Srinagar, Feb 20: The valley-based fruit growers and dealers in Kashmir are jubilant and proud as the region will now be connected via railway tracks to the rest of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to dedicate the Banihal-Khari-Sumbar-Sangaldan railway line to the nation on February 20. He will also flag off/inaugurate the first electric train from Baramulla to Sangaldan. This has been made possible after years of efforts from PM Modi and his team on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project to bring railway connectivity and facilities for the general public in Kashmir.
The Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers Cum Dealers Union has conveyed heartfelt congratulations to PM Modi on this historic infrastructure achievement that will benefit local fruit growers and dealers by enabling transportation of fruits from the valley to various domestic markets.
