The southern region of Kashmir, comprising Kulgam, Anantnag, Pulwama, and Shopian, also felt the winter’s bite with recorded night temperatures of -1.9°C, -4.3°C, -4.7°C, and -5.9°C, respectively. Residents bundled up against the cold as frost painted a frozen panorama across these areas.

Meanwhile, North Kashmir saw Kupwara, Baramulla, and Bandipora grappling with sub-zero temperatures. The mercury dipped to -3.0°C in Kupwara, -2.1°C in Baramulla, and -4.3°C in Bandipora, adding to the wintry landscape of the region.

Central Kashmir, represented by Budgam and Ganderbal, recorded chilly temperatures at -3.5°C and -3.3°C. The inhabitants of these areas woke up to frost-covered windows and the need for extra layers to combat the cold.

Tourist destinations in the valley, including Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Kokarnag, were not spared from the freezing conditions. Gulmarg reported a night temperature of -4.2°C, Pahalgam at -5.0°C, and Kokarnag at -2.3°C, as tourists and locals alike experienced the full force of winter.
