Srinagar, Sep 30: In a significant development, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir has issued an order today, altering the operational hours for both private and government schools situated within the Srinagar Municipal limits. Effective from October 1, 2023, the new timings stipulate that schools shall be in session between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

This change in school timings comes as part of a broader effort to optimize educational schedules and ensure the well-being of students in the region. The decision takes into account various factors, including weather conditions and daylight availability, aiming to create a more conducive learning environment.

Parents, students, and educators are urged to take note of this adjustment and make the necessary arrangements to adhere to the revised school hours starting next month. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir emphasizes the importance of punctuality and cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new schedule.

The Directorate further stated that this decision was made after careful consideration of feedback from educational experts and concerned authorities, with the primary goal of enhancing the overall educational experience for students.

This change in school timings is expected to have a positive impact on the students’ daily routines and is seen as a step towards fostering a more productive and healthier learning environment within the Srinagar Municipal limits.

The Directorate of School Education Kashmir assures that it will closely monitor the implementation of the new timings to ensure its effectiveness and make further adjustments if necessary.
