Srinagar, Dec 28: The Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) has issued an urgent appeal to the local administration for the provision of emergency transport services to healthcare workers amidst the ongoing heavy snowfall. This request aims to ensure that medical professionals can reach their duty stations without hindrance, thereby maintaining the continuity of medical services in the region.
Dr. M.Y. Tak, President of DAK, underscored the importance of this initiative, stating, “Patient care is our topmost priority, and we appeal to the administration to coordinate with health officials to arrange emergency transport facilities for healthcare workers. In response to the severe weather, the association has also directed doctors on duty to remain at their posts until their replacements arrive, promoting a seamless transition in patient care. “Healthcare professionals are the backbone of the healthcare system, especially during crises.
