Annual General Meeting marks renewed unity and collective vision at Radisson Collection, Rajbagh

Srinagar, Nov 5: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) on Wednesday held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hotel Radisson Collection, Rajbagh, Srinagar, bringing together members of the business community, traders, and representatives from various sectors.

The meeting witnessed the unanimous re-election of Mr. Tariq Ghani as President and Mr. Chaya as Chief Patron, signaling continuity in leadership and a renewed commitment to advancing the interests of Kashmir’s business sector. The elections reflected strong consensus among members and underscored the chamber’s collective resolve to strengthen its role as a representative body of trade and industry in the region.

The newly elected office bearers include Mr. Hussain Khan as Senior Vice President, Dr. Imran as Junior Vice President, Mr. Adnan Shah as Secretary General, Mr. Aatif Khan as Joint Secretary, Mr. Ajaz Khan as Treasurer, Mr. Umer Koul as Convenor, and Mr. Ashiq Bhat as Chief Coordinator.

Expressing gratitude to members for their confidence, President Tariq Ghani said the chamber would continue to advocate for policies that promote growth, innovation, and collaboration among businesses. “Our priority is to strengthen local enterprise, enhance cooperation within sectors, and ensure that the voice of Kashmir’s business community is heard at all relevant forums,” he said.

The AGM concluded with a vote of thanks and a shared commitment to steer CCIK toward a more dynamic and inclusive future, emphasizing cooperation between traditional trade, emerging industries, and tourism-linked sectors vital to the region’s economy.
