Srinagar: A delegation of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir (CCIK) called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, and discussed various issues concerning industrial, trade and economic development in the Union Territory.

The delegation was led by Secretary General Aatif Khan, Chief Coordinator Ashiq Bhat & Convenor Umar Jan Wani.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted several key issues, including industrial land allotment, infrastructure development in industrial estates, power supply concerns, promotion of trade and exports, ease of doing business, employment generation, and greater support for startups and entrepreneurship in J&K.

The delegation also emphasised the need for effective policy interventions and improved infrastructure to create a more conducive business environment and accelerate sustainable economic growth in the Union Territory.

The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor assured the delegation that the issues and concerns raised would be examined and appropriate steps would be taken to facilitate industrial growth, strengthen the business ecosystem and promote economic progress in Jammu & Kashmir.

The CCIK delegation expressed its appreciation to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor for giving a patient hearing to the concerns of the business community and for his assurance of appropriate action.
