Srinagar, Jan 5: The associated chamber of commerce and industries Kashmir has expressed serious concern over cancellation of flights at Srinagar airport.
In a statement, CCIK president Tariq Ghani said with the snowfall less than few inches has disrupted air trafic continuously for two days.
CCIK president said cancellation of flights is causing inconvenience to the travellers and huge loss to the tourism sector. “Authorities have not kept men and machinery ready to tackle the snow situation.”
CCIK urged Civil Aviation MinistryYand j&K government to keep airport ready for such inclement weather.
CCIK said the cancellation of flights has caused huge loss to hoteliers and tourism industry.
CCIK appealed to the administration to look into the matter and keep men, machinery and other facilities ready for landing and take- off for the upcoming winters.
