Srinagar, Dec 9: Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham has landed in the picturesque landscapes of Kashmir to kick off the shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Vedaa’.

Following the blockbuster success of ‘Pathaan’, John has once again teamed up with Sharvari Wagh for Nikkhil Advani’s much-anticipated film.

Sources reveal that the actor arrived in Kashmir on Friday, accompanied by other crew members, marking the beginning of a four-day shooting schedule. The scenic locales of Srinagar and Pahalgam are set to serve as the backdrop for pivotal scenes in the film.

Directed by Nikkhil Advani and written by Aseem Arora, ‘Vedaa’ is a collaborative production by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment. This project marks John’s second collaboration with Nikkhil, following their success with ‘Batla House’. Slated for release in 2024, the film casts John Abraham in the role of a mentor, guiding and training Sharvari’s character.

In recent times, Kashmir has witnessed a resurgence in Bollywood shoots, with over 200 projects, including films, web series, and dramas, being filmed in the region over the past year. Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan also chose Kashmir as a backdrop for his latest film.

The government’s film policy, aimed at creating favorable conditions for film crews, has introduced streamlined processes, including one-window approvals for shooting in Jammu and Kashmir. With its breathtaking scenic beauty, Kashmir continues to captivate filmmakers, and the LG’s administration’s initiatives and incentives further contribute to the region’s appeal as a prime filming destination.
