Jammu, Apr 16: In a heartbreaking incident, a boat accident in Srinagar has claimed multiple lives, leaving families devastated. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and assured that the administration is providing all possible assistance.
Taking to Twitter, the Lt Governor conveyed his grief, saying, “I am deeply grieved by the loss of lives due to a boat accident in Srinagar. My thoughts are with the bereaved families, and I pray to the Almighty to give them strength to withstand this immense loss.”
Immediate Response and Rescue Efforts
Sinha highlighted that a team comprising the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Army, and other agencies are actively engaged in relief and rescue operations at the site of the tragic incident. Additionally, Marcos teams have been alerted and are on standby to provide assistance if required.
Monitoring and Guiding Rescue Operations
The Lt Governor assured the public that he is constantly monitoring the situation and guiding the team on the ground. He stated, “Administration is providing all possible help to the bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones and medical facilities to those who have been injured”.
