Baramulla, Dec 26 (KNC): Baramulla Police has taken immediate action against two individuals for performing dangerous driving stunts on snow at Gulmarg, an act that put pedestrians and other road users at serious risk.
In a statement issued here to news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Police Station Gulmarg registered FIR No. 19/2025 under Sections 281 & 125 BNS and Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act against Imad ur Rehman Miya of Molvi Stop, Lal Bazar, Srinagar, and Mohd Munzarin Kullu of Alamdar Colony, Lal Bazar, Srinagar.
The accused were caught indulging in reckless driving on snow-covered roads, creating a life-threatening situation for people moving in the area. The vehicles involved, JK01BB-3417 and JK01AP-5151, were seized on the spot. Legal proceedings are underway.
Apart from legal action, the accused were counselled and clearly warned not to repeat such behaviour. They were advised to follow traffic rules strictly, especially during snowfall and slippery road conditions.
Baramulla Police appeals to the public, especially young drivers, to avoid thrill-seeking on public roads and cooperate with the police to keep Gulmarg safe for locals and tourists alike, reads the statement. (KNC)
