NH-44 Open Amid Inclement Weather; Mughal, Sinthan, SSG Roads Closed Due to Snowfall

Jammu/Srinagar, Dec 21 (KNC): Traffic is plying on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) from both sides as of morning hours on Sunday, despite prevailing inclement weather conditions, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, that Jammu-Srinagar National highway is open for traffic amid wet weather.

However, the Mughal Road, Sinthan Road and Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) Road have been closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation, official added.

Commuters have been advised not to rely on rumours and to verify road status only through official channels of the Traffic Police.

The public has been urged to check updates on the Traffic Police Twitter handle @Traffic_hqrs, the official Facebook page facebook.com/jammuandkashmirtrafficpolice, or contact the Traffic Control Units (TCUs) for authentic information.
