Srinagar, Dec 7 (KNC): A massive fire broke out this evening in a cluster of wooden shops in Munawarabad area of Srinagar, triggering panic in the densely populated locality.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, three to four timber units have been engulfed in flames.
Fire and Emergency Services, along with local police, rushed to the spot and have launched an intensive firefighting operation to prevent the blaze from spreading to adjacent structures, official said.
Massive flames and smoke was seen rising from the area as firefighters are battling the flame.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Efforts are on to bring the situation under control, official.said.
